MARQUIS
Marquis is Gioele Accongiagioco, a DJ and producer born in Milan. A self-taught musician, from his very first encounters with music, he has been driven by the need not to confine himself to a specific style and the desire to freely explore the endless worlds of music, from Battiato to Daft Punk, from Fela Kuti to Umiliani, and even to OPN. At the age of 20, he opened his own studio and began touring Italy as a DJ. In 2019, he started a collaboration with Tommy Dali, one of the rising names in the new Italian R'n'B scene. Together, they independently released "Personale," his debut EP, for which he handled all the productions. The EP gained the interest of both the public and industry professionals, leading him to join Rkomi's "Dove Gli Occhi Non Arrivano Tour." In 2020, Marquis produced Nomercy Blake's album "Occhi Diversi," distributed by Island Records. The following year, he collaborated with Rkomi on the successful album "Taxi Driver," co-producing the single "Solo Con Me." He also worked with Marianne Mirage on the concept EP "Mirage," created in collaboration with Nike and distributed by Believe Digital. On January 14, 2022, he made his debut with his first single, "Per me, Per Te" feat. Germanò, which preceded his debut album "Il Pasto Nudo," released on June 10, 2022. The album featured contributions from artists in the new Italian music scene, including Galea, cmq martina, Germanò, Ceneri, and DARRN. After an extensive tour with his disco-funk DJ set enriched with influences from the Maghreb and the Middle East, Marquis resumed his musical journey in 2023 with the double single "La Notte Brava feat. Lamusa II / A Tu Per Tu," released on March 1, 2023.
