Either in his records and selections SCHiLLiNG relies on a process he describes as ‘contamination’ of sound which entails the layering of various genres, field recordings and the sounds of his home environment with those of synths, analog instruments and samples. He loves his labels, applying music to images, semiotics, details and the gift of synthesis.
