Andrea Marinelli is an electronic musician and visual artist. His music traverses ethnography, folk music, electronic, and jazz. It is a cross-genre journey rooted in improvisation and site-specific experiences. He explores through open-source software, coding, and complex digital audio engines. His live sets are based on electronic modeling of the voice. He utilizes an original archive of traditional voices from around the world, lost languages, lullabies, choirs, and melodies that he organizes into completely live musical textures. Among his many engagements as a musician and artist at various festivals and art venues, both in Italy and abroad, he collaborates with foundations to create works that explore the intersection of ethnography, tradition, and digital culture.
